I test drove a Nitro this past weekend. The turn signal "weirdness" you describe is actually an engineered / planned thing. The idea is that you need only tap the signal stalk lightly once to get 3 pulses from the signal lights...like when you're going to change lanes. No having to hold the stalk part way on, and no "idiot" driving with the signal blinking while you have no intention to change lanes.

I did find the switch sensitive, so perhaps on the post cornering reset to neutral position the stalk switch "thinks" that the quick-short-on function is being activated.

I suspect that it's not a problem as much as a thing to get familiar with.

BTW --- giving some very serious thought to a bright red SLT....but have very limited use for 4x4, and am concerned about gas mileage....oh yes....the biggest obstacle in the path to the Kingdom of New Nitro is the wife standing in the driveway with a flaming sword in her hands. Anyone with suggestions about how to get the Mrs on-side ?? Really...how does anyone convince a reluctant significant other that there's a *need* for a new vehicle when the 11 year old van and 20+ year old Volvo wagon are still running well ??

Ciao all.

Craig
