Thanks for your info, so if you have to hit the prompt (as I did), either on a 07 or 08 you don't have the latest update and it is free and covered under warranty. But you do have to ask for it, and if do want it, I would print out the TSB from this Site and ask your Service Manager to order it for you. There were other issues addressed in this latest up-date, so it does not only eliminate the need to touch the screen to remove the message each time you start your Nitro. I would not know why anyone would not want to do this, or why Dodge does not inform all it owners, or why a Dealer would not perform this when you bring your Nitro in for service with out requesting it, or why they would not do this for any car/truck in their stock, or at least when it is sold? It would be good Page Ranking for Dodge, and more warranty income for Dealer Service Departments.
