Only suggestion I have at the moment is to file a complaint starting with The Office of Defects Investigations and calling the Vehicle Safety Hotline toll free at (888) 327-4236 to report your safety defect. Maybe someone else has a better one, but at least you should make sure this issue is reported. Good Luck!
