I agree that it possible for the cold start/high idle lurch, but thats different than not being able to stop the car. All vehicles with fuel injection have a higher idle when cold, not nearly enough to take off out of control, plus it clearly states in the owners manual that the vehicle should not be started cold and immediatly be thrown into gear. Once again, not trying to offend anyone, just trying to put a stop to the panic people will start with stories like this..
