Hello My Friends, I've Been Away For Awhile, As Far A My 2007 Nitro, I Now Have Around 15,675 Miles On It And Since The Dodge Dealership In Lake Charles, Louisiana Changed Out The Specific Wiring Harness That I Talked About Earlier......i Have Had No More Problems At All With It Downshifting, Lights Coming On All Over, Losing Momentum And So On. 337-474-2640 Is The Dealerships Number. Mark Dodge Is The Dealerships Name. Please Call Because This Is A Serious Problem That Can Be Fixed In A Couple Of Hours With The Right Part. A Technical Bulletin Came Out On This Problem And They Said This Is How They Knew What To Do. Good Luck And Thankyou For Your Time.

First let me start by saying I LOVE MY NITRO!!!!!! I have also experienced "The Stall"(shuts off and restarts) going 55-60 MPH. Made an appointment with my local dodge dealership after the 3rd time. Lucky for me it did throw some codes into the computer. They kept my nitro overnight, Dodge informed me that it is "ground" problem... Not only on nitro but other dodge products, but they are unable to fix it and that they are aware of this problem..I did print out this particular thread and the mechanic said that this was not the problem with my Nitro...Look guys I am not some whinny person. But this is a major flaw that dodge needs to work out before one of us is injured...believe me I knew I bought a first year production model...and know that there are bugs to be worked out. Still Love my Nitro..but would love a resolution to this problem. Just a FYI...

Hello Again, I Currently Have Around 18,669 Miles On My 07 Blue Dodge Nitro Slt And No New Problems Have Arrived. My Past Problem With The Engine Is A Memory Of The Past Only. Many Thanks For Whoever Brought This Problem Up To Dodge And Figured Out What The Problem Was!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Not Even Had My Nitro A Year Yet And I Already Have Over 26,420 Miles On It. So Far The Transmission Issues Have Been Cleared Up With The Recent Recall And Other Maintenance Work.
