hey, myblunitro, glad to see you got your rancho shocks installed. your shocks look better than my monroe sensa-trac (black) shocks. the only issue i would have with the rancho shock would be the protective dust boot getting to close to the tailpipe, (melt). other than that, they still look good. my monroe shocks have kept the nitro from bottoming out for sure and i do feel that they "control" the ride more than what i had with the factory shocks. will eventually be replacing the struts also because i have noticed that when i drive over a hump or thru a dip, the rear end of the nitro is alot stiffer than the front because the front almost seems like it wants to keep on bouncing when the rear has already stopped.

these couple of nites in louisiana and texas are suppose to be "ccccooooollllldddddddd"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can drive my vehicle along any oil top country road in the two counties where I work and not have any problems. But when I run it over some of those city streets I can't avoid, mine still hits bottom. It is a lot softer hit than it was with the old shocks, but the problem is still there. With only 4" of travel available, there just isn't enough there to keep me off the bottom in some of the dips. Like you say, it's too cold now to be working on it, but I will look for another alternative come spring.

hello myblunitro, just wanted to let you and everyone else know that i found some coilover shocks that are listed as $88 per pair. the name brand is "gabriel". i've heard of them but don't know of anybody that has tried them out. hope that this will help you on your quest of the "bottomless dips"! good luck to you.
