Aftermarket?

Where do you guys buy your aftermarket stuff at?
Is there already a turbo/supercharger kit for the Nitro available or currently in production?

Thanks

I am still waiting for my Nitro , but I have been seaching for aftermarket parts.

Start with Mopar for some basic stuff. The other stuff is scattered all over just do a Google search. You may also want to try the other (blue Nitro forum) for more info.

No turbo or supercharger yet, no headers, no NOX. You can get exhaust from Gibson and Magaflow, a chip from Jet (for 3.7L) and a few air intakes.

No heads or cams that I have seen. The 3.7 is the same engine as used in the Jeep Liberty, so try searching Liberty parts also.

Arrow Charger SRT8 cool air intake

Just joined this forum. Hello everyone. Wanted to put in my opinion of adding the Mopar Performance cool-air intake system to the SRT8 Charger.
In case you were not aware, the system can be found on the mopar.com
website.

I was first amazed to find that there was a warning "INSIDE THE BOX" that stated all Mopar Performance products come with NO WARRANTY and no possibility for EXCHANGE or REFUND.

Getting to the installation of the intake system. I was told the system would work for the 6.1L but it only list info for the 5.7L. The system did work fine but you will need to modify the 1/2" I.D. hose going from the valve cover to the intake tube. I was really amazed to find that I probably could have gotten by just find with only the purchase of a K&N replacement filter. If only I had inspected this first. This SRT Group seems to have done their homework everywhere. The factory air intake system has virtually NO restrictions to it, also would seem to bring in cooler air. The factory system draws air from a duct going down to the front air dam. The Mopar cool air system might seem to have an advantage of drawing air in a full 360 degrees but the majority of the air seems as though it would come from engine compartment. Yes, you will Definetly get a more throaty intake sound when you stomp the pedal. I'm just not sure it was worth the $300 sound change.

Haven't really notice any performance change and no change in fuel mileage that they ALL claim. The cold-air intake system does look really cool when you open the hood but I'm going back the factory intake system with K&N filter. Cold -air intake system for sale, system has 200 miles on it. Just my "two cents" worth. If anyone has a different experience please respond.

Has anyone tried out the Magna-Flow cat-back system for the Charger yet? Wondering if the reduced back-pressure would be a benefit or if it may negatively affect the performance.

Hmmm, guess you won't be doin that any more.

For those interested, you might try contacting JBA Headers or Eastway Chrysler........... or getting on the that actually has the info.

Sorry for threadjacking..... but we're being told it was because you were spamming people about other forums in your PMs. I certainly didn't see the message but thought you should know.

Essentially, yes, that is what I did, but I always thought that PM's were PRIVATE. And it wasn't really spam. It was a personal message with a suggestion to check out another forum.

Thumbs up R/t 4.0

This is a heads up for the 4.0 nitro R/T persons, Jet has just releasted a new chip for the 4.0. I placed an order last eventing for the chip and will let you know how it performs. I'm still looking for an after market cool air intake for the same nitro, cat back I was told does have the exhust system and I guess that would complete the add on's, unless somebody knows of another perfromance product??. Ed B

I just received my chip and looking forward to trying it out, still waiting for a cold air intake to officially come to market, next is the exhaust system and not sure which way to go yet???. Will let you know. Ed B

Yes, their private till the recipient decides to tell someone else about it.

Ed, K&N is looking for 4.0 owners in Socal to do test fits on their Nitro. If your in the area, you might get a hold of them.
