R/T transfer cases

Hi all-

The dealer is clueless. Here's my question, and I hope someone out there can assist.

On the 4WD R/T model, the full time 4WD is listed as a Quadra Track I system. There is also a part time 4WD for the R/T. There is no information on what transfer case system is used in the part time 4WD.

Also, any comments on whether one or the other would be a better selection, I'm all ears.

Best,

Matthew

Re: R/T transfer cases

Look up Quadra Track in Google. That system has been used by Jeep for some time, including the newer Cherokee & some of their older rigs...... it's history is pretty well documented & definitely tried & true.

I've never been able to find much in print about the part time system. But I can tell you it drives great in the snow & delivers power to each corner when needed.

I know what is up with Dodge's knowledge base & their customer service??? It sucks! Cool products... clueless people. You're not going to believe this. I had to actually find someone online that had a Nitro R/T with the OEM 20" wheels... find someone else in their area with a Nitro STX... and then get them together to test fit wheels because no one in the entire Dodge or DaimlerChrysler organization (could or would) tell me if the stock 20" wheels cross over to fit the SXT model. Dodge pleeeeeeeese fire somebody!

Oh FYI... they do fit as long as you're moving up.
