De - Chroming?

Hi, I think i'm gonna order a black Nitro SXT this week (Uk spec, fully colour coded, 20" wheels etc.) just wondered if I can get rid of the chrome grille and order a black one? It's the only thing I don't think looks that good on a black nitro!

Thanks in advance!

Scott

If your really into black Nitro SXT go for it, im not sure if you can get rid of the chrome grille because it is often a distinctive styling element, and many marques use it as their primary brand identifier.Hence, you can likewise opt for a Dodge air filter right on your machine to lessen the restriction on its air intake.

in north america, the R/T nitro is the only one that gets a body coloured grille. So there would likely be a pre-painted black grile that you could purchase, or worse comes to worse, you could just have the chrome one painted. IMHO, i think that the chrome grille on a black truck looks amazing, but its just my opinion. BTW welcome, and post pics when you get it!

Chrome or not to chrome?

Hey Geordie.

I have a black Nitro SXT and thought the same about the chrome grille, but once you see the chrome you love it. Unless you replace it or have it professionally painted, you will have to get used to it. Paint it yourself and it will look like it. After all you don't see it when you're driving, and it is what attracts the attention of the ladies (after the diesel knock), right?

You can get another grille kit. But I have to say though the black nitros look really good with the chrome grille and the black air deflectors on the sides of the windows. I think black is really sharp. Buy it and let it see how it grows on you I think you will enjoy it and your friends will like it to. This machine is a mean looking in black and the chrome just dresses it up.
