live in Nebraska, no state law prohibit dvd in dash use. dealer says federal code prohibits and he cannot change codes on in dash player. insert with new purchase says dealer can change codes. What is the right info?

I work for Maxwell Dodge in Austin, TX. The GF and I bought the Nitro today and the first thing I did was pull it into my bay and check with the Star Scan tool to see if there's a way to disable it.

There isn't. The only thing the dealer can do, is enable in dash view while in park or in neutral with the parking brake on if manual.
