Audio/ Video/ Navigation / Electronics DiscussionDiscuss the Nitro A/V and navigation system here, along with other items such as custom installations, alarms, radar detectors, etc.
My dealer just called and said Chrysler is telling him not until January - but the dealer is saying February "as things tend to go". So, not sure what that means in response to the Zmail...But they can do it aftermarket, so that's what I'll plan to do, I think, come January or whenever - we've agreed to make a deal on that so I'm not paying through the nose.
I too, have inquired about the MyGig. I told my dealer I didn't want a Nitro until it came complete with the system. He informed me that it would be a couple of weeks and he could probably have one for me(as of 11/6). I was tempted to get one right away and have it installed later, but he said it would be better to have it factory installed. Besides, who wants to be the guinea pigs of installation on new equipment from the dealership?
You can order it as of right now, the code for it is REQ!

Sweet! So if I call my dealer and tell him it's available and give him the code REQ (I'm not clear if you're saying the code is the letter R-E-Q, or if you're saying the code is REQUIRED...sorry if I'm an idiot), he should be able to order it up?
Hmmm, well just called Dodge and they said "late availability - January or February" - which is consistent with what my Dealer has said. Where are people getting the information that mygig is available now? Why is there a disconnect between that information and dodge? Nothing else that I've seen online has indicated that it's available now... would really appreciate some clarity!
I just got off the phone with my local dealership, and the mygig will officially be available on Dec 14, I also confirmed that with chryslers customer support online.
You can order you Nitro right now w/ the option code "REQ". The building process will take a few weeks for your Nitro to get done, however by the time you order the truck now, and it is built, and sent to the dealership it will be mid-December.
I just went on our lot, and seen that we have a 2007 Dodge Nitro SLT 4X4 which is pretty much fully loaded. Not only does it have a rear video system w/ wireless headphones, but it has MyGIG in it too. It's only priced at $28,000. Thats almost fully loaded. My 2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4X4 brand new cost $32,000. It doesn't have any of the video systems or such.

No, the code is RER and it is NOT available. I just went to my dealer today (11/09) and they couldn't find one anywhere! Im hot! I want MYgig NOW. They keep trying to push me into an SLT cuz apparently the RT's aren't available either. I want an RT with the 5 speed automatic transmission with the 20's, RT leather ..............BAM......nothing less is gonna do it for me.
