Audio/ Video/ Navigation / Electronics DiscussionDiscuss the Nitro A/V and navigation system here, along with other items such as custom installations, alarms, radar detectors, etc.
No, the code is RER and it is NOT available. I just went to my dealer today (11/09) and they couldn't find one anywhere! Im hot! I want MYgig NOW. They keep trying to push me into an SLT cuz apparently the RT's aren't available either. I want an RT with the 5 speed automatic transmission with the 20's, RT leather ..............BAM......nothing less is gonna do it for me.
Yep, you're right the REQ order code is for AM/FM w/6 disc CD Player.
Ok hi everyone, i just got the update from my dealer. I am currently stationed in the middle east so i did my ordering through military car sales. I just recieved and e-mail that said it will be available in December. Also the code for the MYGIG Infotainment system is (RER) not REQ as previously stated. The (REQ) is just for the 6 disc changer with MP3. If you dont believe me call your dealer. Also if you want to see how that darn thing works go to google video and download the video for it. It is rather informative. I think if you are going to put information out there it shoudl be up to date. Or at least haev your orderform sitting in front of you when you tell people what they shoudl be looking at. Anyone starting a Nitro club? If so e-mail me at grantmiles1@yahoo.com
i just got back from the dealership
the sales manager went into the DCX order system and the MYGIG is still not on the order list, so it is still not available
we even went to the parts department to see if they had any info, the parts manager said they have had a MYGIG on order (to be installed in a customers car) for a couple months now and it still has not come in
Our Nitro didn't come with the MyGig. We work with Daimler Chrysler on developing our products for the Dodge vehicles and they sent us the MyGig for our Nitro to try. It is a great stereo, its worth the wait. You'll love it. I guess its all about who you know.

Sweet, it's good to hear a little about it from someone who's used it. Look forward to when the MyGig and 20" wheels hit production!
I have read all the specs and watched the little movies about the MyGig on the Dodge web sight, but will you, CGS Motorsports, tells us all about it. I am really excited about it but I would love to hear all the little details from some one who actually has one.
CGS Motorsports,
I have had a MyGiG system installed by my Jepp Dealer and we have not been able to get everything to function properly. Any tips on how you installed yours. We can not get the voice feature to work and can not get music files to load to the hard drive either from a CD or from a USB stick. Also the NAV system is not displaying any maps yet. We are hoping that when we get the GPS antena in and installed that this may carrect this problem. Is there a CDX internet uplink that needs to be performed? What are we missing?
Thanks in advance.
I was told today the MyGig wasn't going to be available till spring. I asked if they could install one in the Nitro later if I bought today & they said no, there was a wiring harness difference in the two systems & it would require too much work to make it happen.
