I just got a new Black R/T. I'd love to show you guys, but I need 4 posts to be able to post links.

So consider this one of them.

This looks just like mine I got a few days ago! Does your AC cool well? Mine seems not to.

My AC seems to work too well. I live in Madison, Wisconsin, so it gets fairly hot - it was 92 yesterday.

I use my remote start whenever I can to start cooling the cab before I get in. When I'm cruising, I usually have to turn the fan down to the lowest setting, and turn the temperature up 1 notch from the coolest. That usually keeps me really cool.

I did find that if I had my sunroom on vent the AC is much less effective. Obviously you need to keep all your windows closed for it to be 100% effective and that includes your sunroof.

Something I also do if I need that extra bit of fan speed is to turn on recirculation (push the right-most knob) and that hits the AC with the spice-weasel and kicks it up a notch.

On another note, I've been considering getting the chrome step bar (the one with the black steps and oval chrome tube) so my wife can get in with a little less vertical effort (she's 5'2").

Does anyone have any close-up pictures of how it attaches to the truck and how much clearance you have for stepping on it?

Cheers!

Hey, love those rims! How is the clearance between tire and fender in the front at full turn? I've heard it can get pretty tight if you up the rim size.

About the step bar: If you're talking about the Mopar tubular nerf bars w/ step pads (part# 82210569), I've got them! They look great on the Nitro and mount easily under the side with supplied hardware. The only thing is that they are not superb when it comes to functionality: They sit a bit tight under/close so side of the body so I've found that gtting out I just jump out and getting in sometimes I just put the side of my foot or just the toes on it... But the DO look AWESOME!
Hope this helps you out and keep us posted on your decisions.

At full turn I have about 1/8" between the tire and the wheel well.

I've been rolling on these rims and tires for about a month under various driving conditions and haven't had any rubbing.
