Full-time 4WD (July 10, 2007)

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and learning a little every time I log on. I was ready to run out and order a blue 4X4 R/T, but after reading about the production delay of MyGIG, I wondered about delays of other options. So I visited the ARI Production News website and was shocked at what I read. According to this site, the (DHZ) Full-time 4WD w/(EGS) 4.0L V6 engine has a Job #1 of 7/10/07. Does anyone know if that date is accurate, and if the build date is that late in 2007, would that make this option only available on 2008 models? For anyone interested, it also shows that MyGIG has been pushed back to the end of January.

You are going to have to read between the lines. I have not made enough posts to allow posting URL.

arifleet dot com forward slash production

This site has production news for all domestic vehicles.

That link isn't working for me. It says it can't find the production folder/page.

I did a yahoo search for "ARI Production News", it came up with the web site...should be a BACK slash.

Here is what the site said...some of it is builder lingo that is above my intellectual comprehension.

Nitro 4x4 models have a 10-12 week lead time
The following options have a Job #1 of 12/4/06:

(ASU) R/T Group
(CW5) Portable utility table
(EGS+DGJ) 4.0L engine w/ 5-speed automatic
(TX1) P245/50R20 VSB AS performance tires
(WP2) 20” aluminum wheels w/ RT Group

(RER) AM/FM CD MP3 Navigation Radio has a Job #1 of 1/29/07
(DHZ) Full-time 4WD w/ (EGS) 4.0L V6 engine has a Job #1 of 7/10/07

Thanks, Jason. You found it. I guess what I was really wondering, if we are reading this correct, we can't purchase an R/T 4WD until next fall. I could be wrong, but that seems to me that it would make it an '08 model, that is, if they still change over model year production in the middle of the calendar year.

Unhappy Re: Full-time 4WD (July 10, 2007)

If they keep pushing the R/T back...I may just go with a SLT and install the goodies I want myself. I guess that is the joys of a new car model.

Jason,

From my interpretation, the R/T goes into production on 12/04/06. The middle of the summer date it for the full-time transfer case for the R/T.

Re: Full-time 4WD (July 10, 2007)

I just ordered Saturday an R/T with full time 4WD. The myGig was not available for order at this time. Dealer estimated at 10 to 12 weeks for delivery (he just ordered his floor plan of them). I guess I'll know more in a month or so.
