Exclamation need your help

i've got 2 air horns installed inside the engine compartment, besides my factory horn and the place where i have them mounted are not in the best because of the well insulated engine compartment. one is located near the master cylinder brake resevoir, the other one is on the passengers side near the firewall.

where would you install them on your nitro, i have the "bad boy" air horns. i want them to be loud, out of visual sight and not be in the way of anything. thankyou.

hello hemeee, i just wanted an answer whether it was from someone or even myself. get that way sometimes, kind of impatient. it's a normal issue in my abnormal life.

as for the horn, i am chancing it and i moved one of them to the front of the nitro and located it right underneath the front license plate. the sound increase is almost 100% better than being stuck in the engine compartment.

here is an issue though, when i push the button to sound the horn and my headlights are on, its almost like i'm flashing my headlights at someone. these things draw alot of juice. later on i may disconnect one and just have the outside one left. see all i needed was a little attention!!!

thanks again for all that you do for us, hemeee!!!

Sounds to me like that horn is gonna get you plenty of attention!

Seriously, if the drain is enough to dim your lights, you could have early headlight failure, although you don't use the horn much... at least I hope you don't. Electronics are definitely not my field of expertise, but you may want to look into a resistor of some type. Careful, if you scare the hell outta someone you're liable to get hurt

if only the horn could talk for me to the women.......then, it would be a great attention getter!!!

i have the sylvania silverstar headlights on my nitro so i'm assuming that they also draw more juice from the battery because they are brighter and hotter. ditto on the electronic stuff, i'm the same way.

my intentions for the air horn are for a legitimate reason. i posted a thread about this already, but here is some brief info. i live in an area with farmers that drive tractors of normal to above normal size, the problem is the trailers that they pull are the width of the road and they do not have mirrors on the tractors to see the traffic behind them. they are hauling sugarcane. one day i came up behind 3 of them and i laid on the factory horn. it was only blowing into the wind, he never heard a beep, never turned around. so this is why i want the attention getter. i called the sheriff department to complain and they said that i have to share the road with them even if they block the entire road and they are only travelling 10 mph and the road to my house is 6 miles farther and he said that they do not have to have tail lights or brake lights on the trailers. can't figure that one out. whew!! glad that i made that one brief.

later, hemeee!!!!!!!!
