Re: Is the SRT version for real?

I agree that an SRT would be awesome and think it will happen because they are making all the other models srt's so why not this one!

Re: Is the SRT version for real?

If they do an SRT version its not likely to be rolled out along with the first year of the vehicle. Probably second year, if at all

I think even an 08 model is skeptical I think you would see it as an 09 model at the earliest.

they need to kill the whole bling bling 20" wheel idea. How about some smaller wheels with some off road tires

Welcome pN

In general I agree with you on the bling, but 20" seems reasonable for a SUV/Truck type vehicle.
It's hard to argue with popularity and bigger wheels are the hot ticket... seems Dodge is going with the flow and giving the people what it appears "they" want.

Re: Is the SRT version for real?

I just talked to a Dodge/Daimler Chrysler employee and when I went their for training on the Nitro we did ask about a SRT version and they said it is a possiblitly, still working on it.

If anybody is interested in purchasing one, I just started working at Dodge a month ago and can get you the Nitro your looking for, The delearship is called Power Dodge located in Santa Clarita, CA. I will honestly do my best to get you the greatest price possibly and beating other dealerships. We have about 6 in stock at this time and are expecting more. I can also get any color you'd like.

So please if you could I would appreciate it if you would contact me to give you the best service and getting you into your car.

Re: Is the SRT version for real?

I would think that it would be pretty easy to stick the SRT6 drivetrain into it. That would make it a formidable foe!

Not a liberty

I have seen my Nirto on a hoist and its a live rear axle, 5 link. Liberty is a 6 link and different. The stance is different and the jeep is more capable off road with the trail package. in conclusion they are close same engine, close in the front end but there are major differences.
