I think the R/T model is quick enough for what it is.
I mean, I think the model is less than 4200 pounds from the factory. I will take mine to the track tonight. I bet it runs mid 15s bone stock. I've been reading that Dodge says 0-60 8.3. BS I tell ya, they said the same thing about my 2003 quad cab 4x4 short bed hemi. It ran 15.4 bone stock, rofl and weighed 5400 pounds.
This thing feels the same way my truck did.
Honestly, if anything, they would be ready to drop in the 5.7Hemi. And honestly, we could do a supercharger/turbo for the 4.0L would be fine with me. Even just with a 5lbs of boost, these will out 350hp easily.
But I think we will see a 5.7Hemi in here before anything else. Think about it, the R/T already uses the same 5 speed tranny as the srt-8s do. They don't want it too fast, no one will buy the srt-8 jeep if you put even the 5.7L in the nitro. It's 1000 pounds lighter.
