Dealer just called and said vent valve inside of tank is defective and they have ordered a replacement tank! (under warranty) They explained this valve is inside the tank in case the vehicle is involved in a rollover accident and therefore cuts-off fuel leakage and lessens any chance for an explosion! Said this is a common issue not only with the Nitro but the Jeep Liberty and was a parts supplier defect. Said it will be next week before replacement tank will arrive. I took it in with just 1/8 tank of gas, just-in-case the tank had to be removed. Good call on my part. Told them just keep my Nitro until repaired since I really don't need it unless another heavy snow hits this weekend as it may. Great service since this overflow problem had only happened once! I have read this could be a $1,200 fix if not under warranty.

This is another reason larger Dealerships are better for service since there is a good possibility they have already seen an issue that you might be experiencing and know how to resolve it. Will update.
