President Barack Obama’s top auto advisor said today he believes Chrysler Group LLC won’t become a public company until at least 2011, The Detroit News reported.
“I don’t think Chrysler’s IPO is a 2010 event,” Ron Bloom told reporters on the sidelines of the Center for Automotive Research’s annual Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Mich. “I think it’s a little further off.”
However, Bloom said a decision on the timing will be up to Chrysler’s board, the story said.
Ron Bloom, who has been a Treasury Department advisor on autos since February, took over as the top White House auto advisor last month after Steve Rattner stepped aside, the paper noted. (The Detroit News)
