Fiat Oct market share in Western Euroe 8.8 pct - Global Insight

TURIN, Nov 11 - Fiat SpA's October market share in Western Europe is estimated at 8.8 percent, Global Insight director Pierluigi Bellini told Reuters on Wednesday. The Western Europe market share of the Italian group was 8.6 percent in October of 2008, he said.
In the ten months to October, Fiat's market share is estimated at 8.9 percent, against 8.3 percent in the same period of 2008.
The European think tank expects that the European car market will continue its recovery with new car sales seen up in the last month by 15.7 percent over October 2008. The pick up in sales is largerly due to state incentives to buyers.
