07 Cruise Control

Hello Folks, New here. I have an 07 Nitro. Bought used but it was in pristine condition. Love the vehicle but have developed a small problem. I'm not too "smart" when it comes to electronics, however I know alot of smart people reside on "forums" so I registered to get some help. I did a search but could not find any relative info.

My cruise control "switch" will not activate. There were times when I would push the switch to turn the cruise control "on" and it would not work. Then, after shutting the engine off and restarting, the switch would turn the cruise control on. Now, it will not work at all. I have no idea where to start troubleshooting this problem. Could someone with a "brain" please help? (lol) Thanks!

Welcome

Welcome Lone Wolf!

Sorry no one had an answer for you. Looking at the Nitro Service Manual looks like a trip to your Dealership is needed. Here is the wiring diagram for your Speed Control. For me anything more than replacing the M15 fuse is over-the- top. Hell you ought to see what is needed just to replace the switch! Good Luck and hopefully it is something easy and cheaply repairable.

Thanks Rick, I can see (literally) how complicated troubleshooting this problem could be. However, the crazy thing happened to work today for the short time I was using it. Instead of giving the stealers any hard earned FRNs, I will probably just learn to "do without" when it isn't working. Thanks again for the reply.

LoneWolf, I was wodnering if you ever got your cruze control to work all the time. Mine has been doing the same thing. It's very frustrating.
