Automative Gear/Tranmission shfting problem

I recently came into a problem with my 2010 Dodge Nitro when it was extremely hot ninety plus degrees one day, got into Nitro and left from work after starting up vechicle and putting ac on getting ready to put Nitro into Drive when it would not switch out of Park or nothing. Then the next day the temp was lower eighties early in the morning came back to work and started up Nitro it would switch out of park, into Drive and reverse with no problem. Then two hours later that same day when the temp was upper ninties again it would not go out of park. Has anybody has this problem and what is the cause/issue is. I would like to know, dealer has stated they dont' know what the cause of it is or how to fix the issue unless its doing it when the Nitro is at the dealer.
