Question Disabling ESP

Hi All,
When I press the ESP control button, the ESP BAS light does not come on in the instrument cluster....It says it should in the manual, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else have this problem, if it is a problem at all?

There might be be a problem in the SAS-- steering angle sensor. Both Nitos and Liberties have a problem with that sensor.

Thanks, I'll look into that possibility!

I would turn mine off to give me the ability to play around in the snow and sin around, but it never completely turns it off. It still works somewhat.

Why, other than to goof off in snow and such, would you ever want to turn off the ESP? Just seems pointless to have that option included.

Sometimes ESP can prevent you getting out of a bog and i think you need it turned off when you've got snow chains on.
So it's not pointless.
