Angry 2008 Nitro

I also just started having this same problem with the gas overflowing at fill-ups. Your Confirmation number (ODI Number) is: 10373503

"Gas overflows when filling tank on my 2008 Dodge Nitro. I have heard this is most likely caused by a valve in the gas tank that is there to prevent an explosion in the event of a rollover. The valve is defective and thus, the gas spills out."

I just had my gas tank replaced under warranty because it was doing the same thing. However, as soon as I left the dealership with the new gas tank I took it to fill up on gas... and it did the SAME thing. So I called the dealer and they said they'd call Chrysler and get back with me. Thats been a week ago. Guess I need to call them back again.

I had this happen to my 2007 Nitro. After checking different things they had to replace the fuel tank as there was a problem with the check valve in it. Lucky to have had the extended warranty thru our dealer.
