Can anybody help me find where I can purchase a full exhaust setup. I am looking for Headers and Exhaust. I find plenty of Magnaflow, or Borla exhaust but I really want to replace the Headers as well.
Well after looking and looking i figured that replacing the heads is going to be impossible. I took my truck to my friends shop and we lifted it up to check the placement of the Cats. The cats are directly in the center of the Y Pipe. After discussing options I decided that I am going to cut the cats off, weld some pipe through there, and than go with a Magnaflow exhaust. The truck should sound bad ass and my buddy that owns the shop said he would charge me about $70.00 to do it. Said it would only take him a couple hours to do. Only issue i am going to have now is with no Cats, i am going to throw O2 sensors all over the place. Does anybody have a tune or know of a tune for the 3.7L Dodge Nitro? If not, i know there is a peice you can make to fill a whole that will fool the sensor into making it beleive everything is fine. This is going to be a long work in progress and will be a while before it will come. I have some other mods that i need to take care of first. I will post pictures and details later on how everything goes!!!
I recently made my own dual exhaust setup for my GMC typhoon truck.
Its a all 3" stainless 316 to 2,5" dual sided, setup with a 3" race CAT. and some MAGNAFLOW muflers.
And thought about doing this also to my NITRO.
Also would like some headers but its just way to crowded in there.
Any one else ever tried to make a custom exhaust system?
Since the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro are basically the same truck, do a search for the Liberty and see what you can find. The Jeep forums are mostly dedicated to modifications and our 3.7 was also used in the Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Commander. It was also used in the Dodge Ram and Dakota pick up trucks. Possible someone made headers for these vehicles that would fit the Nitro if there is enough room between the strut towers.
Youre right when you have a 3.7
But am also looking but I've got the 60 degree 4.0.
I think it is a upgraded 3.5L based car engine like for the chrysler stratus etc. and never been into a truck as far as I know?

The 4.0 was an option in cars, the minivans and the Pacifica. The only truck was the Nitro, as far as I know.
