Here a pic of when i had it in the ram:

rb-86, the 2 air horn trumpets that i have are mounted on the passengers side inside the engine compartment along the firewall and they are also pointed down like yours. i moved the bad boy horn to the front on the almost outside of the vehicle right in the area in front of the lower cooler. hoping to not get them into too deep of water. by moving the bad boy outside of the engine compartment, i've noticed that they are alot louder for others to notice. with the train running but not rolling and traffic zooming by, i've blown my horns on a couple of occasions and to my suprise they responded with a roaring blast from their horn to acknowledge mine. made me feel good to know that they can hear them and also that they are acknowledging my hello to them and vice versa.

good to know. i haven't really even looked around yet, well cuz i don't have it yet lol, other than just taking a look at the engine. but it's a small set up so it shouldn't be a problem. worst case mount it to the frame. my gf's uncle has the same horns i do but his are in the engine compartment near his firewall. mine, as u can see in the pic, were mounted right behind the bumper in front of the radiator. mine sounded twice as loud as his and the whenever the tank got refilled i would never hear it unless i was trying to. my gf's uncle on the other hand, whenever his refilled the compressor turned the passenger floor into a massage machine lmao.
