08' Nitro R/T with Halo Projectors

I finally got around to snapping some photos of my 08 Nitro R/T and the new chrome backed projector headlights I installed.

I also included a pic of the diode I added between the high and low beam wires at the connection. This diode allows my low beam to remain on even when I switch to highs.

I love my Nitro!

The other thread on these lights shows how to install the light in the grill, but does not go into detail on the harness hook up. Do these just plug into the headlight harness from the stock lamps? I found these on ebay. Do you have any issues with alignment or brightness? Thanks.

These lights are from eBay as well. The hook up is pretty simple. The stock harness simply plugs into the harness that is already wired into the new assemblies, therefore that part is plug and play. The only wiring necessary is for the halo lights themselves. I simply spliced them into the side marker wiring so that they come on whenever the side markers are on. The side markers remain on no matter what setting you have the lights turned on to.

The lights went onto my Nitro very easily. They were easy to install and do not take that much time. As for the brightness, I orignally wanted to install HID bulbs in mine, but once I did and then reading more into it, I found that they would not work. Halogen projectors, which are what all the eBay ones are, cannot correctly project the HID bulbs. HID bulbs are a little longer, thus they throw the focus of the beam off. They will still work, as I ran them for a day, but they will not look as correct as they do in a HID projector. I am back to running the halogen bulbs and I must say they are much better than the HID was and the stock dual filament bulb. The bulb itself is pretty cheap but I am upgrading to Philips CrystalVision Ultra tonight so the brightness will greatly increase.

To me, the look of these lights is well worth it. But more so than the look, I love the addition of the separate high beam bulb. The stock high/low set up just did not cut it for me, but with the 2 separate bulbs now, the light is much better.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you give me the part number for the bulbs. Thank you.

It's a boring day at work, so I have time to play on here, lol.

As for the bulbs, the low beam is an H7 bulb. I am not totally sure on the high beam as I did not replace it, but the ad when I bought it said the high beam bulb is an H1. Below is the ad I purchased from. They are the cheapest price, but I would assume the quality is just as good as any other one on eBay.
