Refreshed:Dodge Nitro Wood Dash Overlay Install

Pictures of inside my Nitro: For the money and time spent I think this wood type dash overlay has been the best addition. This is the what Chrysler should have installed at the factory as OE! I not only installed the full kit but the optional door panel and speedometer kits this last summer when it was really hot here. This is a must if you want a good install!

This kit was bought from Wood Dash Experts, Wood Dash Kits | Dash Kits | Dash Trim Kits | Wooddashexperts.com - Dodge Dash Kits
where I have bought several items including recently installed tail lamp bezels. As a past customer I used Coupon Savings "WINTERS" to save an additional 5%. It may work for you too!

I have several other pictures but would have to re-size them I guess, to post but you can get the ideal of what a 71 piece install on a R/T looks like.

This was my first attempt to post pictures here so at least I got something up. Don't know how some post their full page great looking pictures, but maybe someone will let me know.

Here is one more that I did re-size.

Quick image lesson. :)

View the image that you want to display, right click it, select properties and you will see a line that says image location. If you triple click the location text it will highlight, then right click and select copy.

Then come back here to post and click on the Insert Image button and paste the text that you copied and submit and your images will look like the one above.

Keep in mind that not all pieces of any kit fits your model because of options that car may have. There may be three pieces just to fit the radio, and you will just use the the one that fits what you have. I installed the basic kit in less than one day in the driveway when the temperature was in the mid 80s. I then left the windows up to bake the inside for a day or so. The other two option kits took just a few hours. I was very impressed with the first install and decided to then purchase the two optional kits, with the total results that I think involved 71 installed pieces.

About a year ago I installed another kit (not same manufacture) on my Wife's Ford Explorer and really like the results, but since it had beige leather inside I went with a darker wood. Since the Nitro (black leather) was already dark I went with a lighter wood on it. Lots of options as far as color you can pick.

I did not use the same kit source since the company I used on my Wife's car did not have a very large kit for the Nitro, which I felt it needed. Both cars were strange since both were fully equipped and these kits don't always fit a fully equipped model. I had extra pieces left over on each. The Explorer had the 3 seat option w/rear heat & air and split rear seats with a center console. I would have liked more "wood" for it but it was not available. It is a Eddie Bauer model and had some factory wood which was much lighter and I installed the new darker wood over the factory pieces. Again that is why I knew I wanted it on my Nitro, too.

If you plan to do one, it is a summer project unless you have a heated garage and plan to leave it in there for several days to get good results.

Hope this helps and Good Luck.
