Android X and UConnect

I recently bought a new Android X and it is acting weird with my UConnect on my 2007 Nitro. I have the factory 6disc player, factory DVD rear viewer and UConnect (not MyGig). My old LG Phone worked fine but the Android will connect and operate but during ll conversations, it kind of gets garbled for a few seconds and I can not converse with the connected party. After 5 or 10 seconds it is working again. Of course, the other party looses me for the same period and it is very annoying. It does not seem related to my location, it happens no matter where I am. Verizon says it is not the phone? Any suggestions? TIA
