Exclamation Compass not showing on EVIC

I just purchased a 2007 Nitro RT for my girlfriend this weekend. Not really a vehicle for me as it feels real small compared to my 08 Ram quad cab but its a good vehicle for her. I couldn't stand her keeping her Ford Escape any longer. Anyways, even though the truck is fully loaded, I have a hard time believing the truck doesn't have a compass. In the EVIC where it shows the outside temp and radio station, there are 2 dashes where I'm guessing the compass is suppose to read. I tried everything the manual tells me to do such as trying to calibrate the compass after turning on the ignition and going through the personal settings. I even checked to see if possibly there's a fuse just for the compass but I couldn't find one. I can't even get the word "CAL" to show up on the EVIC when I try the calibrate settings under the personal settings. Can anyone shed some light to this issue, I'm sure Dodge wouldn't leave off such a simple feature on the Nitro's best model.

Welcome Nitro210

Do you have a compass North button on the right top of the steering wheel center? I have on on my R/T but never have used it to set anything.

I have that "N" button on the steering wheel but it doesnt do anything when I press it. Plus under the personal settings, the compass variance and compass calibrate don't do anything. When I select compass calibrate it just sends me back to the EVIC display with the temperature and radio station. I dont really need the compass much but it would be nice for it to display the compass direction rather than just two dashes the whole time.
