Hi folks, been away for a while. '07 Stone white RT has 85k miles and still runs like new. Thinking about adding leather and AllGig. Would appreciate any advice, pros & cons, etc. on these mods. Also, are there recommended vendors who provide the materials, instructions, etc. ??

Lots of info here already except for the leather that would be a Local install, however Mopar does offer some, I believe. Good Luck on your search.

Thanks, I get it on the leather. I really wanted to know if anybody had installed one of the 'gig' systems on a car that did not come with it, and what their experiences were with the mod.

We have Links to all the parts required here but if you do a Google Search you will find many Forum Links to installs (use installing MyGig). Good Luck.

Hello all,
I bought the CarID Halo lights. They are installed and look and work great. Also purchased complete Mygig system from OEM Auto parts on eBay. It is 75% installed, goes back in Tuesday to get the Rear camera installed. System came with very complete installation instructions (my mechanic appreciated it !! LOL). So far radio, phone and Nav are checked out, have not tried the Ipod thingy yet. Also bought the Lockpick which allows the rear camera to be operated while vehicle is going forward (I thought this might be a cool thing as I tow my bass boat with this rig). Lockpick goes in Tuesday as well.
Still to do, MoPar cold air kit and leather seats. Oh, well, one thing at a time.
Thanks much to Rick for the useful info and sources.
Rick, tell me what color scheme you are doing on your Katskins and I'll pick something different.
WOW Fishdist you are not messing round! Sounds great (pictures later?) No I have an R/T with factory leather and not making a change. Did you check out my inside wood kit install? Lots of options with that modification if you like. Let us know how you like that rear camera. One option I don't have is back-up sensors that became standard in 08. Would like to add something along those line but don't know if I could look at the dash camera and still back-up. I have the same headlights and love them. Have had four vehicles with trailer towing packages and never pull a thing! Keep us informed and have fun!

Thanks for all the kind words and advice. Just ordered the MoPar cold air kit & will add pics of that after it is installed. there are pictures of the car in the photo gallery under "fishdist". The Mygig install went OK, but a few snags developed in getting the right cabling to hook up the ougoing audio portion of the phone, as the MyGig cabling that came with the radio is apparently not compatible with my microphone mirror that came with the car. Dodge dealer said I need a "hands free kit" which I bought, only it will not plug into the radio. I will look into getting a compatible mirror, but that will probably be pricey. Dealer neglected to mention that I also need an adaptor for that, which I have now ordered (another 3 days sans the hands free capability). So I have my fingers crossed that it will work after this latest business. The nav system has really great features, although the maps in the unit totally suck (clueless??). I have ordered a maps update from MapteQ. $200. Ouch. The rear camera is made to install on the top of the license plate, which negated my (and probably some other) license plate frames. So I am looking for a new chrome frame, it will have to be totally flat. I may have to have one made out of (polished) stainless. We will see on that one. The backup camera works great and with the Lockpick accessory you can toggle the camera on whild the car is going forward by hitting the Uconnect button twice, and twice again to toggle it off. The camera has a handy little calibration that shows distance from the object behind you. You don't actually back up with the camera, you just check it when you are getting close to the car behind you as when parking (or approaching the boat trailer, I can't wait to try that). I had a previous quote of $1900 for semi custom leather, however the Katskins link you sent looks to be a lot more economical, but all the choices they offer really make my head swim. I will get on with that after the cold air and MyGig are completed. That's about enough for now, I guess.
Thanks again, Rick, for all the great info you send and research you do.
