prospective owner

Hi out there in Nitro Land. I am considering purchasing an 08' Nitro R/T for daily driving and light tow duty ( FV race car).- I had an 06' Magnum SRT8 which is being purchased back by Chrysler due to a unique unfixable problem. Are there any differences between 07' and 08? What has been your experience with gas mileage city/hwy. How about reliabilty, I read about the recall, what has been your experience. Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks

I bought my R/T on February 5. I have been completely satisfied and have had no problems whatever. I average 18 MPG in the city and a bit over 22 MPG on the highway.

Welcome aboard. I now have a whole 2300 miles on my white '07 R/T. I am getting 19-20 on the road and 17 towing my bass boat. Car looks and runs great, no complaints. The shift boot zipper is broken and I am told Dodge has to replace the whole console to replace that little vinyl boot. No problemo, it's a warranty issue but seems kind of silly to replace the console for a bad boot. As I said, no complaints, I love the car.

update, new owner

Thanks for responding to my questions. I just purchased a Silver R/T, 4x2 fully loaded this weekend, 1200 miles on odometer, it was a trade-in on a larger Jeep. Prior owner had it for 3 weeks. Is as clean as a showroom vehicle. I believe I negotiated a great deal. The only thing I may want to change is the ride height. It seems a liitle high, has anyone lowered the vehicle slightly ( not slammed), perhaps 18" rims in the future.

Thanks
