September 1, 2016 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

For 2017, Ram will introduce a new special-edition Night package for the 1500 model that gives truck enthusiasts straight-from-the-factory customized looks.

Based on the Sport model, Night adds blacked-out features, including wheels, grille and badging, to pump up the already bold visual presence of the Ram’s monochromatic performance package.

Ram first adopted the blacked-out badging look with the 2013 Ram 1500 Black Express package.

Ram today unveiled new-for-2017 updates to three of its most popular models. Lone Star, Laramie Longhorn and Limited models will offer truck buyers an even wider selection of exterior appointments and content.

The Ram 1500 Lone Star – the brand’s top-selling truck in Texas – will get a new Silver Edition option.

“The Ram Lone Star Edition is the original Texas truck,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “It’s impossible to overstate the significance of the role Texas plays in the pickup truck segment. At the same time, Ram trucks are an iconic part of the Texas landscape. As the longest-lasting truck in Texas, there are literally millions of Ram pickups still on the roads.”

The Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver Edition will get premium upgrades, including a new luxury grille with chrome surround and chrome Wave Mesh inserts. Other functional and aesthetic exterior highlights include new bright belt moldings, chrome exterior side-view mirrors, chrome wheel-to-wheel side steps, polished 20-inch wheels and front tow hooks.

A unique grille-mounted, milled-aluminum Lone Star badge identifies the Silver Edition as something special and also signifies that it carries with it a new “Ram Care” service program.

The 2017 Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver Edition interior is offered with new sporty cloth and vinyl high-back bucket seats in Canyon Brown/Light Frost Beige or Black/Diesel Gray.

The Lone Star Silver Edition is available on Ram 1500 4x2 and 4x4 Crew Cab, and short and long box-length configurations, and a choice of either 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 or class-exclusive 3.0-liter EcoDiesel powertrains.

Lone Star Silver Editions are expected to arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2016. The new Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver Edition package pricing is $900 with a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $38,995, plus a $1,320 destination charge.

For 2017, Ram has added new looks and premium features to its Limited and Longhorn models as well.

Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Limited-trim pickups can be ordered with black “RAM” tailgate letters. Black letters – in combination with Brilliant Black or Granite Crystal Metallic paint – will arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2016. The new letters create a unique rear liftgate appearance for the most premium member of the Ram pickup truck lineup. The black RAM tailgate is a $195 option.

Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Longhorn models add a new bright-chrome grille and chrome belt moldings. The billet port grille features bold “RAM” lettering and will be available on Longhorn models late fourth quarter 2016.

Ram 1500 Longhorn models also add standard Keyless Go, SmartBeam headlights and rain-sensing wipers for the 2017 model year.

For 2017, Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Laramie, Longhorn and Limited trims receive the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 as standard equipment. Ram Heavy Duty Longhorns and Limiteds come with Bilstein monotube shocks as standard equipment on 4x4 models, enhancing their already best-in-class ride and handling. All Ram 2500 models are now available with a new 4x4 Off-road package that adds essential trail components, including Bilstein mono-tube performance-tuned shocks, hill-descent control, limited-slip differential, all-terrain tires, tow hooks, transfer case skid plate, fender flares and a new “4x4 Off-road” graphic.

Ram is also unveiling the new special-edition Ram 1500 Night package that gives truck enthusiasts straight-from-the-factory customized looks.

Based on the Sport model, Ram 1500 Night adds blacked-out features – including black 20-in. aluminum wheels, grille and badging – to pump up the already bold visual presence of the Ram’s monochromatic performance package.

The 2017 Ram 1500 Night starts with key Sport appearance cues, including body-colored fascia and body-colored rear bumper, body-colored power-folding mirrors and door handles. Also adopted from the Sport are black-bezel bi-functional projector headlamps with LED marker lights and black-bezel tail lamps to match forward lighting.

The Ram 1500 Night interior features standard high-back heated cloth bucket seats with 10-way power adjustment, power-adjustable pedals, Uconnect 8.4 touchscreen system and a premium instrument cluster with 7-in. driver information display.

The new Ram 1500 Night package adds:

A black grille surround with black “Hex Perf” pattern inserts
Bold “RAM” blacked-out lettering on the tailgate from Ram 1500 Rebel model
Black Ram’s head grille badge
Flat black Ram 1500 door badge
Flat black 4x4 tailgate badge (if applicable)

About the Ram Lone Star
In 2002, Ram Truck was the first manufacturer to recognize the strength of the pickup truck market in Texas and to offer an exclusive edition for the state. The Ram Lone Star edition was the first pickup truck designed by Texans and built specifically for Texans.

The Ram Lone Star edition is by far the brand’s best-selling model in Texas, accounting for over 50 percent of the half-ton mix there. Since the Lone Star’s debut, Ram has sold more than 230,000 of the Texas-only models.

About the Ram Laramie Longhorn
Ram introduced the Ram Laramie Longhorn edition to State Fair of Texas audiences in September 2010. It was the most luxurious truck ever produced by the company. The Laramie Longhorn is layered with southwestern design iconography. Inside and out, Laramie Longhorn is loaded with remarkable features and design cues from traditionally handcrafted, time-tested wares, such as the antique pocket watch, a fine pair of hand-tooled leather cowboy boots or a horseman’s saddle. The Ram Laramie Longhorn’s metal work and leather work are second to none.

Ram Longhorn models are distinguished externally by White Gold two-tone trim, premium headlamps and tail lamps, unique wheels and grilles. Inside, Longhorn is trimmed in real Walnut Burl inserts stained in Canyon Brown or Cattle Tan. Longhorn’s premium seating features Cattle Tan leather with Black welting/stitching or Canyon Brown with or without premium leather filigrees. Front seats are heated and cooled, while rears are heated. Longhorn models also feature model-specific Uconnect Access and Multiview cluster screens, which complement the overall design theme.

About the Ram Limited
Ram Limited takes the Ram truck line to the highest level of sophistication and attention to detail. Featuring premium materials, such as all-black, full-leather seating, real wood interior components and unique badges, Limited is a “black-tie” luxury alternative to the popular southwestern-themed Longhorn edition pickup.

The Limited’s grille is the truck’s most prominent exterior distinction. As the leading point, its billet port grille breaks from the long tradition of crosshair styling with bold “RAM” lettering. Limited also features a bolder “RAM” tailgate design and all-new 20-inch forged multi-surface aluminum wheels – unique in the truck market.

Inside, subtle stitching accents, pin-striping, unique materials and patterns are found throughout the interior. A deep console bin houses a cellular phone and tablet holder, which can be concealed with a tambour wood sliding door. The genuine wood door is made from Black Argento wood. Ram 1500 Limited includes as standard equipment a Ram-exclusive Active-air suspension system with five settings: entry/exit, aero mode, normal ride height, off-road 1 and off-road 2.

Ram owners enjoy a best-in-class Uconnect connectivity system with WiFi hotspot and voice-to-text capability.

About the Ram 1500 Sport
The Ram 1500 Sport blends efficient, durable Pentastar or HEMI engines with monochromatic visual performance cues to make it an appealing alternative for truck enthusiasts.

Ram 1500 Sport is now powered by a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 /TorqueFlite 8 combination, delivering 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque along with 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway fuel efficiency. For those seeking more power, the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with variable valve timing and fuel-saver technology is available. Its 395 horsepower/410 lb.-ft. of torque is mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission and delivers 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway.

The Ram 1500 Sport is available in Regular, Quad and Crew Cab models in both two- and four-wheel drive.

The Sport comes standard with heated high-back bucket seats with full center console; heated steering wheel; halogen projector headlamps; body-colored grille, front fascia, mirrors and rear bumper; and 20-inch painted/polished aluminum wheels with outlined white letter tires. Sport 4x2 Regular Cab short box models come standard with 22-inch wheels.

Ram 1500s feature a truckload of pioneering, fuel-saving systems, including first-in-segment technologies such as thermal management system, pulse-width modulation and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and air suspension.

About Ram Trucks in Texas
Ram trucks are the longest-lasting trucks in Texas. Based on nearly 30 years of registration data compiled by IHS Automotive, a trusted source of critical market, vehicle and consumer information, Ram trucks offer unmatched real-world durability.

More Texans drive pickup trucks than drivers in any other state; 19 percent of motor vehicle registrations versus 12 percent national average. In fact, Ram sells nearly two-and-a-half times as many pickup trucks in Texas as it does in the next highest volume state.

The Texas Auto Writers Association named the 2016 Ram 1500 Fullsize Pickup Truck of Texas and the Ram 2500 the Heavy Duty Truck of Texas.

Rebel TRX concept interior takes signals from the Ram Rebel, but adds unique features, materials and colors, including carbon fiber, luxury leather/suede and six-point harnesses

September 29, 2016 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

Ram, America’s off-road truck leader, today introduced the Ram Rebel TRX concept. Rebel TRX is a 100-mph off-road machine with 575 horsepower – the most powerful half-ton truck the company has ever built. Ripping over pavement at speeds greater than 100 mph is an experience, but the Ram Rebel TRX concept hits triple digits in an off-road environment with the help of a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V-8.

“Ram Truck heads to the 2016 State Fair of Texas with a host of product news plus a new concept that pickup fans will truly appreciate – the Ram Rebel TRX concept was built specifically for this event and solidifies Ram Truck’s position as the off-road pickup leader,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “With 575 supercharged horsepower and a suspension system built to withstand an all-day hammering, the Rebel TRX concept can devour the roughest terrain at more than 100 miles per hour and never look back.”

Powertrain
The rapidly beating heart of the Ram Rebel TRX concept is a powertrain marvel. A 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI with 575 horsepower, the most powerful Ram 1500 the company has ever built, lays the groundwork of expectation.

Mated to the TorqueFlite 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission, new calibrations were used for the engine, transmission and drivetrain to optimize the expected high-speed off-road driving cycle.

The Ram Rebel TRX concept uses Ram’s 4x4 Performance Control System with a BorgWarner 44-45 transfer case. The system employs different modes of operation: Normal, Wet/Snow, Off-road and Baja.

The Ram Rebel TRX concept uses a standard Ram 1500 front axle with an open differential and custom CV half-shafts to handle the wider track dimension. The spindles are moved forward to make room within the fender wells for the aggressive 37-inch tires.

In the rear, a Dynatrac Pro 60 axle spools power through an electric, selectable locker to 35-spline, 1.5-inch axle shafts. The locker is available in all modes and commits both rear wheels to traction at the same speed, spreads the torque load and maximizes the tractive effort (power put to the ground) in full-throttle maneuvers.

Engineering
The Ram Rebel TRX has an exterior design that radiates focused aggression, which is only trumped by what lies under its skin. The concept was built around suspension and frame prerequisites. Equally important was adapting as many systems from the standard Ram 1500 as possible to ensure durability and proper function.

The high-strength steel frame structure of the Ram Rebel TRX is virtually unchanged when compared to a standard Ram 1500. The frame uses low-torsion attributes that increase durability, stability and handling precision.

A 40 percent increase in suspension travel and 37-inch tires contribute to incredible ground clearance. This combination allows the TRX concept to overcome surface obstacles at high speed.

The front suspension incorporates custom-built upper and lower A-arms with special attention to caster and camber angles during suspension cycling. Overall, front- and rear-wheel travel is increased to more than 13 inches from the standard 9 inches. The front load is managed by a state-of-the-art, adjustable, performance coil-over shock with internal bypass. The result is a smooth ride over smaller bumps, and when the bumps become mounds, the reaction speed and heat dissipation is unbeatable, softening the impact on occupants and maintaining the tire-to-ground contact.

The Ram 1500 uses an exclusive, best-in-class link coil rear suspension system that shares basic architecture with the fastest off-road trucks in desert racing. The frame’s hard points for the five-link suspension system are unchanged and allow the rear axle travel to span up to 13 inches, while standard rear-wheel travel on the Ram 1500 is 9.25 inches. New 2.5-inch bypass shocks use factory upper and lower shock mounts. The standard rear coils are swapped for performance springs located in the factory-spec positions.

To provide incredible stopping power, the factory hydraulic-boost compensation unit enhances brake pedal feel and performance during emergency stop events. Baer brakes six-piston monoblock calipers mounted to 15-inch rotors equip the front. The rear uses six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors.

High-speed off-road truck racing teams commonly use a 37-inch tire for its height and durability. Tires with 37 inches of height, 13.5 inches of width, aggressive treads and 10-ply design are assigned the task for Rebel TRX. The Rebel TRX concept also features custom beadlock wheels from Mopar. Beadlock wheels provide additional tire-holding strength by pinching the outside of the tire to the rim. The Rebel TRX carries two complete spare tire and wheel packages. Tools and jack are located in custom, lockable storage between the wheels in the bed.

Design
Although it is clear that the line and color combinations are borrowed from the popular Rebel and Power Wagon models, the Ram Rebel TRX has a much more chiseled look.

Three letters burst clear of a Power Wagon-inspired grille spelling “RAM” in body-matching black and red. Out of necessity, the bold, scooped grille allows a fire-breathing supercharged engine to cool with additional air flow. Composite flares help compensate for a six-inch increase in track width and gave designers another location to mark their signature. A lower brush guard is forged in steel and up to the “rock knock” test.

To clear the roots-style blower mounted atop the HEMI engine, the Rebel TRX uses a hood based on the taller Ram Heavy Duty design. The raised fender height matches shoulders to chest. A drone’s-eye view exposes bright LED clearance lighting and the acute hour-glass body lines as they dive back into the doors only to pop back out in the back, enabling rear tires to firmly tuck into the wells.

The side of the Rebel TRX leads your eye to enormous five-inch, side-exit exhaust ports integrated within a full-length rock rail for added body/sill protection.

Closing out the rear of the truck, a large “Ram” badge in Matte Black is borrowed from the Rebel and covers the tailgate. A custom rear steel bumper with integrated skid plate and tow hooks matches capability features on the front of the truck.

When traversing rough terrain at high speeds, seating is important. The interior design team chose suede with accent mesh cloth inserts to cover the rear bench and front buckets. The suede inserts provide tremendous grip to clothing. The front seats integrate lateral support upper bolsters with embroidered logos. All four seats are strapped with six-point harnesses, further fixing occupants to their proper locations.

An open upper glove box with elastic straps holds a sturdy TRX-labeled bag with color matched tools. A seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) display cluster features muddy tracks and TRX badge graphics. The same graphics fill the screen on an 8.4 Uconnect. To record TRX’s accomplishments, a custom camera mount is located at the rear-view mirror.

The center console matches efforts on the instrument panel and includes a new polystable shifter trimmed in black suede and Header Red stitching. Designers re-trimmed the Rebel TRX armrests with solid Header Red accent stitching and wrapped the upper bolster in suede to keep arms in place. Nylon-strap door pulls are embroidered with “Release.”

A sport bar covered in black anodized paint provides anchor points dedicated to the six-point harnesses and spans from B-pillar to B-pillar – formed to allow maximum possible seat travel.

The Rebel TRX interior floor trades carpet for black rubberized coating. Black all-weather mats from Mopar reduce foot slip when foot-to-pedal placement is crucial.

One look at the Ram Rebel TRX concept and its intentions are clear — a 575-horsepower off-road machine with the ability to clear miles of desert in the blink of an eye.

2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Ecodiesel Overview

2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Ecodiesel Overview

There are a lot of changes to the Ram’s outside Hellcat, not the minimum of which is the well known scooped hood. Further helping indicate the truck’s terrible internals are the “supercharged” and “SRT’ identifications on the front bumper and grille. The Challenger signs proceed with a reshaped front guard with overhauled mist lights and focus complements.

The standard haggles are swapped for something with more meat. Likely estimated in 22 to 24 creeps, the wheels take after the other SRT items. Huge Brembo brakes crest from behind the golden spokes. The Ram’s A-columns are likewise treated to a shading upgrade, getting the same matte completion as the B-columns as of now on generation trucks. Anticipate that a bed blanket will come standard. General the truck is brought down, dropping the focal point of gravity and giving it an all the more threatening appearance.

Things inside 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will doubtlessly be overhauled too. Expect intensely supported seats with Alcantara embeds, a SRT-marked gage bunch, and maybe some carbon-fiber emphasizes. The controlling wheel will probably get the level base treatment with either calfskin or Alcantara covers. The ZF eight-speed rotational shifter will even now be available on the dash, however expect a “S,” or Sport setting after the PRND.

2017 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will likewise incorporate a lot of upper trim-level hardware like the 8.4-inch Uconnect framework as standard, alongside a redesigned stereo — maybe the 900-watt Harmon Kardon unit from the Charger.

There isn’t quite requirement for hypothesis here. In the event that 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel tosses the Hellcat bone into its half-ton truck, it will get the same supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 as the Challenger and Charger. That implies 707 pull, 650 pound-feet of torque, and enough fumes thunder to awaken the neighboring area.

We need to theorize on what this implies for the Ram’s execution. On the off chance that the 500-horsepower SRT-10 hit 60 mph in “just shy of five seconds” as asserted by SRT, then we could expect an around four-second rushed to 60 from the Hellcat-controlled pickup. That would be noteworthy.

2017 Ram 1500 will need to incorporate oar shifters for the TorqueFlite transmission, permitting more control over the unit’s eight velocities. Maybe even a dispatch control setting will be included. While its no doubt the Ram Hellcat would just come in back wheel drive, Chrysler could drop in the all-wheel-drive framework from the (unverified) up and coming 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. That would assist the With slamming connect, particularly considering how light pickup trucks are out back.

What’s truly energizing is the thought about a manual transmission being added to the blend. We know the main reason the Charger is auto is a direct result of a heartbreaking underbody outline. The Ram then again, as of now offers a manual transmission in the Heavy Duty fragment with the Cummins turbo-diesel.

Just dropping a 707-pull motor into a truck is a formula for going no place quick. 2017 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will need to adjust the truck’s suspension to stay aware of its energy. Anticipate that the front will get every single new bushing, a much thicker hostile to move bar, and sportier curl over stuns. On account of the Ram’s most recent upgrade, the old-school leaf springs are dumped for a five-join setup with curl springs. This will make tuning the Ram’s backside much less demanding. Expect the same hardened bushings, a thicker influence bar, and some much thicker axles linkages to handle the additional force.

FCA Canada: 2017 Ram 1500 Earns Triple Crown, Again Winning Canadian Truck King Challenge

For the third time in a row, Ram 1500 won both the ½-ton truck category and the overall Canadian Truck King title, based on points and votes amassed amongst 11 entries

Powered by the award-winning 5.7-litre HEMI® V-8, Ram 1500 retains its Canadian Truck King title despite renewed competition

Ram 2500, powered by the award-winning Cummins Turbo Diesel, won the ¾-ton category

Now in its 10th year, Canadian Truck King Challenge is an established, multi-day, third-party testing event of pickup trucks and commercial vehicles

Ram Trucks are Canada’s longest-lasting line of pickups and the fastest-growing truck brand in Canada

October 24, 2016 , Windsor, Ontario -

For the third time in a row, the Ram 1500 has been crowned the overall winner of the Canadian Truck King Challenge.

Now in its 10th year, the Canadian Truck King Challenge is a rigorous, multi-day, third-party event that sees pickup trucks and commercial vehicles tested head-to-head in an apples-to-apples series of exercises.

From a base in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, a group of seven expert judges from across Canada – with over 200 years of combined truck testing experience – put all of the entrants through intensive, real-world evaluations over almost 4,000 km, with a focus on capability, fuel consumption and features. Testing included up to 1,814 kg (4,000 lbs.) of payload hauling, 6,803 kg (15,000 lbs.) of towing and assessing off-road capability.

The 2017 Ram 1500 earned the ½-ton and overall Canadian Truck King Challenge titles by outscoring the 10 other entered pickups – from mid-size to one-ton full-size – and including new and refreshed competitors.

Claiming the crown again marks a three-time Truck King win for Ram 1500. In the two previous competitions, Ram 1500s powered by the segment-exclusive 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V-6 engine were entered. For 2017, Ram Truck Canada was asked to enter its volume model: a Ram 1500 Crew Cab Sport 4x4, powered by the 5.7-litre HEMI® V-8, a six-time winner of Ward’s Automotive “10 Best Engines.” This time, the HEMI-powered 1500 overcame a trio of all-new or refreshed light-duty half-ton rivals.

Further, the heavy-duty Ram 2500 also earned the number-one spot in the 3/4-ton category of the Canadian Truck King Challenge. Powered by the 6.7-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, it is already part of Canada’s best-selling line of diesel pickups and won the segment over an all-new competitor.

“Seeing Ram 1500 take the overall crown at the Canadian Truck King Challenge for a record third time is an incredible endorsement of its breath of capability and class-exclusive features,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, FCA Canada. “The pickup truck segments are incredibly competitive. Truck King’s real-world, seven-person evaluation shows Canadians the best of the breed and we’re honoured that Ram 1500 is again on top, with Ram 2500 winning its category strongly as well.”

Ram Trucks are Canada’s longest-lasting line of pickups and the fastest-growing truck brand in the country. The Ram 1500 is the most fuel efficient full-size pickup ever with fuel economy as good as 8.0 L/100 km (35 mpg) highway when equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel V-6, and offers class-exclusive features like the available Active-Level™ Four-Corner Air Suspension and RamBox® Cargo Management System.

Ram 2500 and 3500 are Canada’s most durable heavy-duty diesel pickups, offering available, class-exclusive Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension, a class-exclusive coil spring rear suspension on Ram 2500, class-exclusive Ram Active Air technology for the Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, and best-in-class cargo versatility with the class-exclusive RamBox Cargo Management System. The Ram Heavy Duty lineup also features the newly redesigned Ram Power Wagon, Canada’s most capable full-size off-road pickup.

Said Howard Elmer, founder and director of the Canadian Truck King Challenge: “The Canadian pickup truck market is very competitive – and getting more so…. It's this level of fierce competition that results in good trucks and great choices for Canadian buyers. Ram, our 2017 winner, has been one of these constantly improving trucks. Its overall high score, awarded by the panel of automotive journalist judges, speaks to the hard work the engineers at Ram have invested in its pickups. Congratulations again to the 2017 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi powered pickup.”

2017 Ram Power Wagon Priced From $53,015

Nov 9, 2016

Fiat Chrysler has priced the 2017 Ram Power Wagon from $53,015 in the United States, representing a price increase of $1,155 over the outgoing 2016 Ram Power Wagon.

Ram first showed the updated Power Wagon earlier this year at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. The truck adopts the aggressive off-road looks of the Ram Rebel, but continues down a similar off-road path as the outgoing Power Wagon with Bilstein shocks, a five-link rear coil-spring suspension setup with electronic sway bar disconnect, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires and locking front and rear differentials.

Other equipment included on the Power Wagon includes tow hooks, front and rear skidplates, a Warn winch and rugged interior appointments such as bolstered seats with tire tread-look seat upholstery and Power Wagon badges and branding.

One of the only optional extras available on the heavy-duty pickup is a $4,495 Leather and Luxury package, which adds heated and ventilated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, front and rear parking sensors, a backup camera and power-folding mirrors.

Ram is keen to point out that the Ram Power Wagon equipment can be added to 4×4 versions of the entry-level Ram 2500 Tradesman for $8,450, bringing the total price to $48,315.

NOT STANDING STILL

Next up, a Lone Star Silver Edition, available in crew cab only (4x4 or 4x2), will feature 20-inch chrome wheels, a chrome mesh grille, chrome badging, side view mirrors, door handles, side steps and bumpers. Last but not least, Rebel trim levels get Uconnect with an 8.4-inch screen, remote start, rear park assist and a backup camera as standard equipment.

April 5, 2017 , HOUSTON -

Ram Truck today unveiled updates to two of its leading model lines; the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel and Ram Limited.

For 2017, Ram will add a seventh color option for the brand’s 1500 off-road model. The Ram Rebel 1500 Delmonico Red joins Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic and Mojave Sand.

Ram also announced that the most premium members of the Ram pickup truck lineup — Ram Limited models — will be available with new body-color R-A-M tailgate letters and side steps, replacing chrome tailgate letters and side steps.

“Truck buyers are looking for new colors and features that make a statement and allow them to stand out from the crowd,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Truck, FCA – Global. “Whether it’s the off-road-enthusiast appeal of the Ram 1500 Rebel or the luxury and sophistication of the Ram Limited, Ram trucks deliver features and durability that are winning over more and more owners.”

The Rebel Delmonico Red is a new no-charge addition to the Rebel family of colors. The deep red exterior color is available on all Rebel models and in two-tone (black lower panels) or monotone paint treatments. Ram 1500 Rebel Delmonico Red can also be ordered with the Rebel Black (black wheels and front skid plate) appearance package.

Ram Rebel Delmonico Red features a black and gray interior with black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster trim rings. All-black heated seats with black “Rebel” embroidery are highlighted by Light Slate Gray accent stitching, which also traces the instrument panel, center console lid, doors and seats. Deep rubber floor mats capture snow and mud.

The Ram Rebel Delmonico Red starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $45,095, plus $1,395 destination. Orders are open now and Delmonico Red Rebels will start arriving in dealerships in May 2017.

Also announced, Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Limited trim pickups can now be ordered with monochromatic R-A-M tailgate letters, including Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic, Pearl White and True Blue. The new letters offer an alternative appearance option from the standard bright chrome letters introduced last year.

Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Limited models are also available with new body-color cab-length running boards. These new running boards enhance the smooth monochromatic exterior appearance when paired with the body-color tailgate lettering.

The Ram Limited with monochromatic appearance package MSRP starts at $53,265, plus $1,395 destination, and will start arriving in dealerships in May 2017. Body-color R-A-M tailgate letters and running boards are currently available for ordering and are priced at $195 each, when ordered separately.

About the Ram Limited
Ram Limited takes the Ram truck line to the highest level of sophistication and attention to detail. Featuring premium materials, such as all-black, full-leather seating, real wood interior components and unique badges, Limited is a “black-tie” luxury complement to the popular southwestern-themed Longhorn edition pickup.

Ram 1500 Limited includes as standard equipment a Ram-exclusive Active Air suspension system with five settings: entry/exit, aero mode, normal ride height, off-road 1 and off-road 2.

Ram owners enjoy a best-in-class Uconnect system with WiFi hotspot and voice-to-text capability.

The new 2017 limited-edition Ram 1500 Sublime Sport package features a stunning green monochromatic exterior with body-color grille. The 2017 Ram 1500 Sublime models feature a Sport performance hood with Black wheels, Black Ram’s head grille badge, Black tailgate badge and Black body-side badges. Big 22-inch Black aluminum wheels are available for the first time (two-wheel drive only, 20-inch wheels on four-wheel drive).

Interior treatments for the Sublime Sport include Lime Green accent stitching throughout the cabin, accent-color Ram’s head embroidery on the headrests and sport mesh seat inserts. A Lime Green Sport badge is prominently placed on the glove box boor. Anodized Black-painted spears and trim rings complete the interior.

Just over 3,000 units of the bright-green 2017 Ram 1500 Sports will be produced.

The Ram 1500 Sublime Sport package is available on Crew Cab V-8 models with a starting MSRP of $45,740, plus $1,395 destination. The trucks are arriving in dealerships next month.

Ram also introduced the Rebel Blue Streak. To complement the Rebel's bold looks and capability, the truck is now available with Blue Streak exterior paint. In addition to the body color, the Ram 1500 Rebel Blue Streak can also be ordered with the Rebel Black appearance package, which includes a Black-decaled performance hood, Black wheels, Black grille, Black brush guard and Black badging. Optional two-tone with Black lower paint also is available.

The new Rebel Blue Streak interior features Black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster trim rings. Optional all-Black leather seats replace Radar Red and include Black embroidery. Slate Gray accent stitching traces the instrument panel, center console lid, doors and seats. Deep rubber floor mats are embossed with Ram’s head logos.

The Ram 1500 Rebel Blue Streak is available in all Rebel configurations and options at no extra charge. The Ram Rebel starting MSRP is $45,095, plus $1,395 destination. Rebel Blue Streak will start arriving in dealerships in May 2017.
