Chrysler testing more signs, Express Lane
April 26th, 2010
Chrysler is testing new dealership signs near its Auburn Hills headquarters again, seemingly having narrowed it down to two Chrysler options, the red Dodge letters (without stripes), and two Ram heads; Jeep has long been settled.

New to the group is the quick oil change system Chrysler has been pioneering, which relieves dealerships of much of the paperwork normally needed, so that customers can get in and out in 10-20 minutes. It’s still a bit longer than most “quick lube” places, but presumably with less likelihood of a holed filter or the wrong fluid; for dealers it’s a way to get customers used to coming by for service and perhaps falling in love with a car on the lot, or discovering another necessary repair or maintenance item. For Chrysler as a whole, having customers go to dealers may help prevent wrong fluid/inept repair/plain ripoff problems as well as snide comments about American cars and Chrysler itself.
