Already imbued with innovative technology, unparalleled functionality, classic design, and a long list of standard convenience and safety features, enhancements in refinement make the 2012 Town & Country a true stand-out in the minivan segment.
“The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country is the ultimate realization of the American Dream,” said Saad Chehab, Head, Chrysler Brand – Chrysler Group LLC. “For those who’ve worked hard to provide the best for their families, and who understand that settling down has nothing to do with settling for a minivan. By combining a world-class interior, best-in-class horsepower, spirited driving dynamics and class-exclusive one-touch Stow `n Go® seating, Town & Country embodies the Imported from Detroit ethos - offering style, comfort, and performance - for up to seven passengers.”
Improvements for 2012 include standard leather seating and rear-seat DVD for all models, new Sapphire Blue interior lighting scheme and a combination leather and wood steering wheel for Limited models. There are also three new exterior colors for 2012: True Blue, Cashmere Pearl, and Crystal Blue.
Chrysler Group invented the modern minivan in 1983 with the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager. The first luxury minivan, the Chrysler Town & Country, debuted in 1989. Seventy-five minivan-first innovations and 13 million minivan sales later, the company still leads the way with the best, most innovative vehicle to move people and things.
The latest round of minivan firsts include a heated steering wheel, Stow ‘n Place™ roof rack system that allows roof bows to be stored in the rails when not in use, an integrated super center console for first- and second-row passengers, and a fuel economizer mode that helps the driver maximize fuel efficiency.
Thanks in part to continuous refinement and innovation, the Chrysler Town & Country was ranked highest in minivan segment by J.D. Power and Associates in their 2011 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS).
