November 28, 2012 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group LLC announced today the grand opening of Carl Gregory FIAT of Columbus in west central Georgia.




Carl Gregory FIAT of Columbus joins 186 open FIAT studios in 44 states across the U.S. This striking new FIAT studio is located at 3000 North Lake Parkway, Building 100, on the north side of Columbus.

The FIAT studio joins the Carl Gregory Enterprises family of Chrysler Group dealerships – four in the state of Georgia and one in Tennessee. Carl Gregory FIAT will celebrate its grand opening Nov. 29 with a 4 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, food and refreshments.

Carl Gregory Enterprises transformed a former auto dealership in just five months into a stunning, new FIAT studio where the group sells the Fiat 500, Fiat 500 Cabrio, Fiat 500 Turbo and the Fiat 500 Abarth. While the studio only recently opened its doors, customer reaction to the new facility and to the Fiat 500 models has surpassed his expectations, said Jason Gregory, president of Carl Gregory FIAT, and the son of dealer principal Carl Gregory.

“While we just opened, it is clear that our customers are drawn to the fuel-efficiency of the Fiat 500, as well as to its Italian styling, attractive price points and low payments,” Jason Gregory said. “We think this is a terrific opportunity for us and we are excited about adding the FIAT brand to our family of dealerships.”

FIAT Launches Social Media Sweepstakes to Drive Promotion of the All-New Battery Electric Fiat 500e


December 3, 2012 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Now through Mar. 15, FIAT is running a social media sweepstakes in conjunction with the announcement of the all-new battery electric Fiat 500e at the L.A. International Auto Show.

Auto show attendees and fans have the chance to win a trip to L.A. and experience one of FIAT’s exclusive “Into the Green” VIP events where they can get up close and personal with the all-new Fiat 500e.

“Into the Green” is a program to raise awareness about sustainability at some of the world’s most glamorous red carpet events. Bringing Italian flavor to the electric vehicle, the new Fiat 500e proves that style and sustainability are not mutually exclusive.

“‘Into the Green’ is a creative way for us at FIAT to maximize our efforts in promoting sustainability,” said Casey Hurbis, Head of FIAT Brand Communications. “As a brand, we’re always striving for ways to be environmentally responsible and with the launch of the all-new Fiat 500e, we’re proving customers don’t have to sacrifice style to be eco-friendly.”

For a chance to win, entrants may visit FIAT’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fiatusa) and click the “Into the Green” tab.

There will be three entry phases corresponding with the three event dates. Phases are as follows:

Drawing period 1: Nov. 30 - Dec. 21
Drawing period 2: Dec. 22 - Feb. 1
Drawing period 3: Feb. 2 - Mar. 15

Entrants may enter only once per drawing period. Additional entries will be awarded to those who share the promotion via social media and have friends enter. Applicants are allowed one share per sweepstakes time period.

Fiat 500 Abarth ‘Seduction’ Advertisement Named ‘Best TV Commercial’ at the 2012 D Show




December 3, 2012 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Fiat 500 Abarth “Seduction” spot was named “Best TV Commercial” at this year’s D Show held Nov. 28 in Detroit.

“Seduction” represents the unique characteristics of the Fiat 500 Abarth as a sensual and strikingly stunning model and takes a peek at what happens the first time a customer encounters the race-ready vehicle. The spot ends with a sexy and edgy message, “The Fiat 500 Abarth. You’ll never forget the first time you see one.”

The D Show is an annual event hosted by the Adcraft Club of Detroit dedicated to judging and awarding creativity in Detroit in the most fair and judicious manner. Entries are submitted by advertising agencies and reviewed by out-of-state judges from within the advertising industry.

“It is great to see a video that was created on a shoestring budget and not intended to be shown on television, receive prestigious accolades like the D Show ‘Best TV Commercial’ honor,” said Olivier Francois, Head of FIAT Brand Worldwide and Chrysler Group LLC and Fiat Group Automobiles Chief Marketing Officer. “‘Seduction’ started out as a video supporting a speech and then went viral on the web. Our dealers saw it, loved it and wanted to see it on television. This is a success story of how an auto show video became a Super Bowl commercial hit and continues to grow a fan base and win awards.”

The digital spot titled “Seduction” made its debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show to hundreds of journalists and then was posted to the FIAT brand’s YouTube site. Without having ever been aired on television or cable networks, it rapidly spread through the web and gained global attention, exceeding one million views. The commercial first aired on television during the 2012 NFL Championship Game.

“Seduction” was created in partnership with the Dallas-based The Richards Group and can be viewed at the FIAT brand’s YouTube site.

Two more ads were also recognized at The 2012 D Show. Ram Truck brand’s “Code of the West” ad, also created by The Richards Group, received an award in the “Integrated Branding Campaign” category, while FIAT’s “Aurasma” spot created by Doner, Detroit received accolades in the “Innovative Media” category.

It’s not for sale, for better or worse, just a prop for an upcoming commercial highlighting the Panda 4x4’s off-road prowess, which we’re guessing is slightly exaggerated in the spot.

But the best part is that the creation really works, so there’s hope for all of you Monster Jam fans out there that it could one day visit an arena near you.

Perhaps they can use it to promote the Fiat-based Jeep Compass replacement on the way next year.
