Detroit newspapers are reporting that the site of the former Chrysler Highland Park headquarters could soon be home to a new auto components plant.
Representatives from Magna are scheduled to appear before the Michigan Economic Growth Authority Tuesday to secure tax incentives for an automotive seating facility at the site, officials confirmed Monday and The Detroit News reported.
Plans are still pending approval, but the plant could create about 400 jobs, said a spokesman for Wayne County. Magna officials could not be reached for comment, the story said. (Detroit News, The Detroit Free Press)
