The U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, turned over more than 120 Dodge Charger police vehicles to the Lebanese Internal Security Forces on July 1. The vehicles, purchased by the U.S. Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, officially were transferred to the Lebanese during a ceremony in Beirut.
This assistance will help the Lebanese expand policing operations throughout the country. The delivery is part of a larger U.S. State Department initiative to assist legitimate, professional law enforcement institutions in Lebanon.
