The dealerships received the news today they will be closing in June. The dealerships affected comprise about a quarter of Chrysler showrooms around the country.
The automakers is facing bankruptcy; and the decision on which locations to close came down to whether sales goals were met, profits and the condition of facilities.
The dealers likely will have a right to appeal to get off the list, but if they do close, Chrysler will not be required to buy back the vehicles or tools and parts from the rejected dealers.
