New Dodge SUV drawings revealed

On file at the United States Patent Office are these drawings that look to be the upcoming replacement for the Dodge Durango, which may wear the Magnum badge when it appears for the 2012 model year. Although the patent was granted in late January 2010, the drawings were actually filed in April 2009.

As you can see from the drawings, the new SUV won’t be sleek and low like the discontinued station wagon. but it will be smaller than the nearly full-size Durango. It will share a platform with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee

Am I the only one that did not know you could patent drawings of a complete vehicle?
