U.S. regulators investigating Ram trucks

WASHINGTON, April 9 (UPI) -- U.S. transportation regulators said they were investigating steering problems with Dodge Ram pickup trucks.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the probe involved problems with about 1600,000 Chrysler Group 2008-2011 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, The Detroit News reported Saturday.
Regulators were looking into problems with "outer tie rod failures (that) may result in loss of steering."
The agency said it had fielded 12 complaints about the Dodge trucks.
