Dodge Nitro Heat 4.0 Rear Brakes

Hello all! I have a brand new Nitro Heat 4.0. The rear breaks seem very loud especially when I first gt in the car in the morning or after work. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? Thanks and have a good one!

If you hear it first thing in the AM, it could be your parking brakes. The parking brakes on these are actually skinny little drum brakes that reside inside the rear disc, and sometimes they stick to the surface, or can drag due to dust, rust or debris. Drive a short distance, with the parking brake slightly engaged, to clean the surface of the shoe, and the inside surface of the disc. If this doesn't help, take it to the dealer and have them adjust the parking brake.

I just got a 2011 Nitro Heat on Friday and I've noticed the same sound when I first go to drive. My car is parked on a slight incline in the driveway so as I release the brake to back out, I hear it at first... then its gone. I just assumed its because gravity is putting a little pressure on them and they groan at first before loosening up. I could be wrong though!
