I too have turned away several potential buyers. Dont get me wrong this vehicle rocks on the outside. The problem is with the inside. This is meant as no disrespect to this forum or its members, but some of us need to stop sugar coating the problems with this great looking but mechanically deficient vehicle and start spreading the word so that other unsuspecting buyers dont make the same mistake we did. If you are currently an owner and have had no problem, all the power to ya. But if you are in our unfortunate club of unhappy customers, SPREAD THE WORD. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Hey, for one thing, I'm a Nitro owner too and I have problems like you do. So quit your whining. I just quoted what I saw on other forums. So you don't have the right to badmouth me. If you don't like Chrysler, that's fine. But don't take it out on me.

Canadians not offered Chrysler lifetime warranty
TheStar.com - Business - Canadians not offered Chrysler lifetime warranty

July 27, 2007

Chrysler is offering lifetime warranties on the powertrains of its new cars and trucks in the U.S. but the auto giant won't offer the same coverage to motorists in Canada.

A DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. spokesperson said yesterday the company has a different marketing strategy in Canada and won't change its coverage of five years or 100,000 kilometres on engines, transmissions and drive systems.

Before yesterday's move by Chrysler Group in the U.S., the company offered a lower powertrain warranty than in Canada, covering costs for three years or 36,000 miles south of the border.

The new U.S. warranty applies only to the first person who owns or leases a gasoline-powered vehicle. A company dealer needs to inspect a buyer's vehicle every five years for the warranty to remain in effect.

Canadians who buy Chrysler vehicles in the U.S. would lose the lifetime warranty once it crossed the border, the spokesperson said.

Thumbs down What About Me????????????

I Bought A New 2007 Dodge Nitro Slt In November Of 2006. An 07 In 06!!!!! I Was Told That Dodge No Longer Offered The 7yr/70,000 Mile Powertrain Warranty And I Settled For Their 3yr/36,000 Mile Basic Warranty.

Now They Change Their Minds Again And Offer A Very Unique, One Of A Kind, Priceless Lifetime Powertrain Warranty To Vehicles That Are Bought On Or After July Of 2007 "only"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Where Is The Fairness To The Previous Buyers Of Chrysler Vehicles?
Has The Powertrain Changed In Anyway That Would Be Different From My Current 2007 Vehicle?

If I Am Not Able To Receive This Lifetime Powertrain Warranty Because I Bought My 2007 Too Early Back In November Of 2006, Then Chrysler Corporation Is A Joke In The Customer Service Area. Because I Buy The Same Vehicle Early Instead Of Late, Punish Me.

I Like My Nitro, I Hope To Keep It At Least 10 Years. I Have Already Made Modifications On It, I Have Had 2 Major Recalls On It And Brought It To The Dealer To Try To Correct The Problem. I Have Had Other Minor Problems And Have Had To Bring IT To The Dealership To Get It Worked On Again. I Took A Chance On Buying This Vehicle Before All Of The Hay Wired Problems Are Solved And Now It Seems That I Have Taken Another Chance Because A Different Warranty Is Being Given Away And I'm Not Included.

I Will Call My Dealership To Find Out For Sure If I'm Included. If Not Included Then Chrysler Customer Service Will Get An Opinion And Fact From Me. If I Am Included Then God Bless Chrysler And It's Corporate Heads For Thinking About All Of Its Previous Buyers Because If It Were Not For The Previous Buyers, Chrysler Would Not Be Able To Give You This Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.

Very Disappointed Right Now.
