A/C control ?

I own my 2010 Nitro about 3 weeks, I have been using the A/C by turning the blower switch on, the A/C would go on in the recirculate mode. Today it went on but I have to press the knob to engage recirculate, the temperature has dropped considerably here in NYC. Does anyboby think I might have a problem with my controls? Thanks in advance. BTW I love this vehicle!!!

I don't know if they have changed their controls or the way they work, but in 2007 there were a lot of complaints about Nitro A/C units not cooling enough. For some reason to really get cool air from the older Nitros you need to depress BOTH the A/C center knob and the right Selection knob to recirculate and have BOTH yellow knob lights lite. Since finding this out and Dealer Service Departments know this too, my Nitro will really get cool inside and never another issue! Are both lights on? Have you tried this yet?

A/c ?

With my vehicle the center knob is the A/C control so if you want A/C the light must be on, the far left knob is blower speed it needs to be depressed to activate recirculate. So both lights must be on to run the A/C in recirculate the problem seems to have taken care of itself since I originally posted I really think it had some something to do with the big dip in temperature here in NYC its now hot again. Thanks for the the response!!
