As to the FlowMaster 44. The shop I used didn't have one. They trial fitted several different mufflers for me to hear before I settled on the FlowMaster 40.
Thanks Blu NITRO and a very Sweet Ride you,ve created. I have the Mud Guards and have hesitated installing them .Thinking about having them sprayed to match my Sunburst orange color. My fear of cracking the paint in off road use has keep me from doing so.

08 Nitro XLT

I got an '08 on New Year's Day.

So far, I'm mostly pleased with it ... EXCEPT for the tranny's insistence on kicking in the Torque Converter at too low of a speed. If I'm stuck in traffic (or in a 30mph speed zone), and my foot is off of the gas, the TC wants to engage, which drops my RPMs to about 1200, which is simply too low for a V6 engine, particularly in a vehicle the size of a Nitro. Overdrive wants to kick in too soon also, but at least I can prevent that with the Tow/Haul button (which is most inconveniently located ... as if it would likely never be used!)

So, the jury is still out on this rig. Everyone at Chrysler insists it is operating as designed, so no help there, so far.

Grrrrrr.................................

Smile Love my 08!!

I just bought a 2008 Dodge Nitro SLT on Jan 15th. I love it and I have no complaints. It rides great, zero noise issues and the gas mileage....well.. its an SUV and if you were looking for a vehicle with 40 MPG you shouldn't have bought an SUV . I am impressed with the power, comfort and fun my Nitro gives me. I don't care what any of those reviews say, the only thing that matters is how the person who is shelling over the money feels about what they have jsut purchased.

Talking Collecting the Nitro RT tommorow!

Could'nt wait until I was actually behind the wheel yet!

I have been doing so much research into buying a small to mid-size SUV that would appeal to/suit my girlfriend and have some extra "stuff" for me to play with when I'm tired of the 03 Yukon Denali I'm currently driving. So its been booked for the last two weeks, the first ten Nitro RT's landed in the UAE last week, and tomorrow my girlfriend collects her brand spanking new, Sun-burnt Orange Nitro RT, and I'm probably more exited than she is!
So I have taken it on myself to be the "reporter" for her new car, as I will be the first to drive it and will there to give her a hand with any issues/compliments/complaints she might have.

Looking forward to add my "two cents" to the website!
