Too bad we can't wait till November, that orange sounds interesting.

I guess the title of the post needs changed to welcome 2nd Nitro (hopefully as nothing is official yet).

Where to start?
I took the truck in for it's appointment with the District Engineer. The service manager went for a ride with him and they could not reproduce the problem. He did tell both the service manager and myself that he knew what the noise is. It seems that one or more of the valves in the valve body of the trans have a burr or imperfection allowing the trans fluid to oscillate causing the noise we are hearing. He said that this is happening in several models and the noise level is different in each. He said that Dodge knows about this but as far as he knew they do not have any plans to make any changes to the units or offer any type of repair at this time. He also said that because this does not cause a safety hazard or a service issue that they will not buy back the vehicle. He did offer to get me an extended warranty at no charge. When I told him we had already bought one he offered to refund our cost of that warranty. I told him I would talk it over with my wife and see what she wants to do.

In checking the KBB value of this P.O.S. I guess we will be keeping it for a couple years and turning the radio up. I will not be recommending these to anyone who asks me about them and honestly since he said that this is happening to other models I feel I couldn't recommend Dodge to anyone.

Thanks for the input on this but I fear this issue is now dead.

Hi Snowdog

I am in the same boat as u when it comes to problem with our dodge....We are look at Selling.....This was my Post

I am from Australia and own a 2009 dogde nitro SX R. Can someone help me understand why when I put my Car in for a 30000km service they had to change my Brake Lining and Rotors....NOTE not under Warranty as the warranty on brakes and rotors run out at 20000km....I have owned all different Models of Cars and never in all my years have I had to have the brakes and rotors changed at such Low KM's.......I called Chrysler only to be told it is their standards....All that has come out of this is that...1..never will i ever buy another Chrysler and 2....Never will my Car go into a dealer to have services done... it will only go to a dealer if there is warranty work to be done...

This may sound Trivia to someone but right from the word go I have had drama's with this car...First being when it had it first service at 1000km they left the head cap off my Car...I found it weeks after
Then the turbo hose Blow at 7000 km... The at its 10000 km service they did tighten the hose...
Then 3 batteries later and no one being able to work out wat the problem was...We took it to our own Auto Electrician who found that the relay box was put on upside down and full of water.....so that fixed the Power Problem

Then the brake issue I mentioned above.
Last but not least We just got our car back from the work shop due to a diesel Leak.......I could go on forever about the problems we have had but I think I have made my point.
Yep Never again
