My 07 nitro has this issue, it happens once in a while. A come out push the keyless entry remote and the fan comes on and the door doesn't unlock. What in hell can this be? And the check engine light comes on , will stay on for a day or two.

You need to find out what code caused the Engine Light to come on to help diagnose the issue. That would be a good start.
