Should i buy one?

Hi guys im new to this forum but a big player on my gto board. Iv been looking to sell the GTO and get something more practical for Midwest driving, sure going 160+ is always fun, but how often can i do that?

im looking at your average nitro, 07' white. im looking to get a front gaurd (and rear (if they make one)) or just put a nice hitch on it. also a small lift bigger tires and call it a day.

Something where if you cut me off you;ll regret it, and something that still looks sporty and can have fun with (some off road crap)

anyway my question is (honest opinion) should i sell my gto and get one

thats for the input and sorry for the rant

Welcome Kyle!

First off a NITO is no GTO and will never be! Well if it's a 2007 you want, it should be an R/T and mine is a R/T,and it's white, but you can not have it!

Later year Nitros are updated, but with a R/T you have the best of the best for 2007. You will also not pay anywhere close to the 32K I paid for mine, either. The value of your present GTO will not decrease and may even increase in the future, but like most cars these days Nitros have decreased in value 60% in four years.

If you have not done any research, the 2010 Nitro may be the last year of production. This should be decided just next month when Fiat (new owner of Chrysler) announces it's five year plans for Chrysler. A Nitro can be a real joy to drive if properly equipped, and in early reviews of the 2007 most issues that were negative did not relate to the R/T model, since it has a different engine, transmission, suspension, and wheels. Sure sounds like I'm bias, but I researched Nitro for 6 months before I purchased mine.

A trick Nitro will turn heads just like your GTO and should be a much safer vehicle and even be a more enjoyable and a more dependable ride too. Let us know what you decide and Good Luck with whatever you do and ENJOY!

LOL the Irony.

I actually wanted a GTO and instead got a Nitro RT. Wife recommended a buy a SUV instead of a 2 door performance vehicle which I have always owned prior to my Nitro purchase.
