Ok, so I park in my school's parking lot, and for the past 2 weeks or so, on 3 different occasions, some little punk has decided to put his bubble gum in the exact same spot on the black plastic part of my rear bumper, leaving it to sit in the hot sun and bake. We do have cameras outside the school but I don't think they point towards the parking lot. My idea of getting back is to park one day, then wait off in the distance and just watch. Catch, him, and give him a beatdown. However, my school is private and you would get expelled for that. I am planning on telling the dean tmr and seeing what he can do about it. If he catches who did it, they would get expelled for vandalizing. Problem with that is, is that I would find my car trashed within a week either by him, or his friends. I am not sure what I should do. If I could just figure out who is doing it, I could take care of it. Any suggestions?
Set-up a video camera inside the nitro pointing in the direction the JAGOFF always comes from and get them on tape.
I was considering doing that but I dont really know how I would go about doing that. I will tell the deans about it tmr and if the problem continues, I will stand away from my car one day and watch for a while and catch them in the process.

Tape a post-it note to the spot with a message on it that says "Smile, You're on Candid Camera... leave the gum on your bedpost or the Dean will ask to see you in his office".

Betcha it stops
Haha that would be funny. I think I'll go for something like, "Smile, you're on candid camera. Start looking for a new school cuz you just got EXPELLED!". They would piss their pants. Anyways, today I talked to the dean and he said that the cameras don't face that part of the lot, so he moved me to the teacher's lot for the time being. While I was in talking to him however, the punk decided it would be funny to put his gum on the handle of the rear hatch. I didn't realize this untill after school when I had to get back there. Gross. If I ever catch who did this, there is gonna be hell to pay.
Sounds like someone is deliberately targeting you or your car, must be a reason? It's annoying for sure, but man, you could be getting keyed, or worse, so at least it's not to that level... yet. I just don't get what motivates someone like that, I hope they catch him for you.

I have got ot beleive it is one of my friends, otherwise by now, my car would be keyed or worse. If it was of my friends, I want to catch them before the dean does. I dont want them expelled, but I still want to punish them. I think the reason is b/c the Nitro stands out so much. I always keep it cleaned, waxed, polished, etc. It is a brand new car. Most other cars in parking lot are crap.
Hmmm.... some "friends" ya got there if you actually suspect them.
Time to find some new ones methinks!
Good luck c'kid, let us know how things play out.
Will do. Not all my friends are like that. Right now I have 2 people in mind. I am having one of my friends go talk to one of the people tmr and just mention that fact that he saw gum on my car and see what the guy says.
