I read the article, and I noticed one of the pics showed the Nitro being made, but it showed the gas springs holding up the hood, instead of the little stick that is standard. What is that?

Maybe those are used in production only, since no one has ever stated they had "factory installed hood struts". Could happen in 2008, but doubt it.
